A practical shortlist for guests who want the city to feel like part of the trip, not just the airport before the coast.Thessaloniki is easy to enjoy when the plan stays light: a waterfront walk, a food stop, one or two neighborhoods, and enough flexibility to leave the city without pressure.
The White Tower, the seafront, Ano Poli, and the central food streets are usually the clearest first picks for visitors who only have a day or even a few hours before continuing onward.
If the route continues to Chalkidiki, airport collection or meet-and-greet timing becomes even more useful because it lets the city stay optional instead of logistically heavy.
