Insurance. Extra or not?

The real question is usually not how many policy words exist, but whether the coverage is understandable before the trip starts.

Most guests simply want to know whether they are properly covered, what excess applies, and what the process looks like if something changes along the way.

That is why clearer rental communication matters more than noisy upsell language. A booking feels better when the guest understands the protection position before arriving at the handover point.

If you are unsure, direct confirmation from the local team is still better than guessing from fragmented policy wording or last-minute desk pressure.
